Durante muchos momentos en los últimos meses, más de los que puedo recordar, he imaginado cómo sería aquel en que "Zíngara" llegara a mis manos en papel. Y ese día ha sido hoy.

Como suele ocurrir en estos casos, ha sido una mezcla de emociones, comenzando por la incredulidad de que "eso" estuviese ocurriendo, y que miles de libros como el que sostenía en las manos hayan sido impresos, encuadernados y distribuidos por toda España y Latinoamérica.

Otras sensaciones venían del formato puramente físico del libro: detalles como su peso (mayor del que imaginaba), paginación y maqueta (de nuevo, tan distintos de las galeradas, su tacto (con ese barniz UVI que tantas veces he admirado en otros libros) y muy especialmente, su aroma a libro nuevo… Gracias a todos en Editorial Santillana por hacer realidad este sueño.

For many times in the last months, more than I can remember, I imagined how would it be the experience of receiving "Zíngara" in my hands on its paperback version. And it happened today. 

As it usually happens in this cases, it has been a mixture of emotions, starting by being unable to believe that "that" was happening, and that thousands of books similar to the one I was holding had been printed, binded and distributed all over Spain and Latin America. 

Other sensations came from the purely physical book: details such as its weigh (heavier than I imagined), pagination and layout (again, so different from the proofing copy), its feel (with that UVI gloss I have admired in so many books) and specially, its aroma of newly printed ink… Thank you everyone at Editorial Santillana for making this dream true.
