Hoy, 3/7/2012, se cumplen exactamente 41 años de la muerte de Jim Morrison, hecho alrededor del cual gira, como sabeis, mi novela "Zíngara: Buscando a Jim Morrison". 

Y para hoy me reservaba esta fotografía, que encontré en esta web sin indicación alguna de autoría, y que fue uno de los descubrimientos más importantes que hallé durante mi documentación.

En principio, parece simplemente una foto del cantante y poeta en sus últimos meses… pero basta fijarse en su mano para apreciar los azulejos tan reminiscentes de lo hispanomusulmán para preguntarse si Morrison no está, en esa foto, en el sur de España.

¿Es Granada, como algunos dicen? ¿O Marrakech, como afirman otros? Como todo lo demás que rodea y rodeó su existencia y final, muy posiblemente esto también quedará envuelto en la leyenda. La leyenda que le hizo quien es, 41 años después.

Today, 7/3/2012, is the 41th anniversary of Jim Morrison's death: the fact around which my novel "Zingara: Finding Jim Morrison" is structured.

So I was waiting for this commemoration to publish this picture, which I found in this website (with no authorship data) and which was one of the most impressing documents that I found during my documentation phase. 

It only seems a picture of the singer and poet in his last months… but looking closely at his hand, we can discover those tiles, so reminiscent of spanish-muslim art, and which make us wonder if Morrison is, after all, in Spain. 

Was that picture taken in Granada, as some say? Or in Marrakech, as other claim? As anything else that surrounds his existence and final moments, very possibly this will be part of his legend. The legend that made him who he is 41 years later.
